Q: I am interested in volunteering how can I get involved?
A: If you are looking to get involved, please join us at our general chapter meetings, listed on our calendar, where there will be members from our different project teams. If you join our mailing list, you will be notified about upcoming general chapter meetings as well as chapter-wide events and fundraisers.
If you are looking to volunteer in general, contact volunteer@ewb-sfp.org.
If you are looking to volunteer for a specific project team, there are links to each of the project team pages on our programs page on the left side. If you see one in particular you like, go to the team meetings page to find out when the next meeting is.
Q: I am not an engineer. Can I still join EWB-SFP?
A: Of course! We need all kinds of help from medical professionals to grant coordinators to administrative support to finance.
Q: When are the meetings? Can I just drop in without being a member?
A: The EWB-SFP general chapter meetings are typically quarterly, and we also organize chapter-wide networking and fundraising events throughout the year. You can check the EWB-SFP calendar for more details. Anybody can drop in and check it out. If you are looking to join a specific team, please visit the team meeting page to see when the next meeting is and find a way to contact that team.
Q: What are the requirements for traveling to a country with an EWB-SFP project team?
A: EWB-USA requires that you be a member through Volunteer Village (check out all the free resources!) and encourages that you be an active and contributing member of the project team for at least 6 months.
Q: Is travel a requirement to be part of a project?
A: Absolutely not! We have a lot of work to do here in San Francisco to support the design and management of these project. We also have domestic projects.
