Jim Quinn is a retired Civil and Environmental Engineer. He has over 20 years experience in the Environmental Engineering field, and is a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California. Jim served as a Project Engineer and Project Manager for 7 years at Randolph and Associates, a firm that focused on wastewater collection and treatment. He also held roles of Project Manager, Program Manager and President of the Environmental Construction Division of Environmental Resources Management-West, and was involved primarily with Hazardous Waste Site Remediation projects there. Jim joined EWB in 2016 and was part of the 2016 Traveling Team to Fiji, where he played a role as a travelling mentor. He currently co-manages the EWB-SFP Fiji Team.
Jennifer Lawrence is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. Previously, she served as an environmental educator and sustainable development volunteer in rural Morocco with the United States Peace Corps. Jennifer is interested in the development of microbial technologies for sustainable wastewater treatment. Currently, she is studying the interactions among microbial populations within an anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) reactor for the enhanced removal of nitrogen from municipal wastewater effluent. Jennifer joined EWB in 2015 and was part of the 2016 Traveling Team to Fiji. She currently co-manages the EWB-SFP Fiji Team.
